  • I got into this business because I love this work-it’s creative, it’s fun, and I have the opportunity to do it with exceptional people.
  • I think the smartest thing anyone said about marketing is “Marketing takes a day to learn. Unfortunately it takes a lifetime to master”– Philip Kotler.
  • The road taught me this country is big, and beautiful.
  • I grew up just north of Chicago.  It taught me to savor sunny spring and summer days, and to keep the faith in the Cubs.
  • Whenever I am giddy with enthusiasm, that’s my mother coming through.
  • I will never ask a client to stop challenging us to get better and think bigger.  I will always ask, “How can we be better?”
  • Working in the golf business actually helped me prepare for this.  I learned the value of putting in long hours, attention to detail, creative thinking and problem solving.
  • The first thing I ever sold was lemonade.  My neighbor and I had a pretty good operation.
  • If my life has a soundtrack, it’s Pearl Jam.  And maybe The Evens.
  • The first ads I remember were everything kid-targeted.  My sister and I had quite a knack for remembering jingles, and we sang along to just about anything.
  • When I’m not doing this I’m playing golf, guitar, running, surfing, or having a drink and some laughs with friends.
  • I went to school at the University of San Diego and studied Communications because I have passion for the west coast, surf and for writing.
  • If forced to give up Chicago winters, I’d probably smile a little bit more and move back every summer.
  • My favorite movie is “Big.”  It reminds me that the imagination and the big idea are two very powerful concepts.
  • The way I like to work is collaboratively and efficiently.  I like to talk things out and use our resources.
  • The best place I’ve ever visited is Dublin.  The people were amazing, and I’ve never laughed so much in my life.
