My title is EVP, Client Services

But really, I’m the head coach of the best damn client service agency in this country.

  • My first job in marketing was in Public Relations on the agency side.   A savvy former newspaper editor drilled it into my head to be more concise in my writing.  Point taken.
  • I used to work at a few other agencies.    Sometimes life takes you in strange directions.   I’ve found a home at Marketing Werks.   I’m fortunate.
  • Some of the highlights of my career are: appearing in Sports Illustrated, winning a best integrated marketing program award … but most importantly seeing people grow professionally before my eyes.
  • I’ve worked on some fantastic brands… Coca Cola, Anheuser Busch, Verizon Wireless,  NIKE, BlackBerry, etc.   You learn a lot when you interact with top folks at these companies.  I’ve been blessed on this front.
  • When I began at Marketing Werks I was thinking it would be a short-term situation.   Eight years later and after more than 1000% growth - it’s the best move I have ever made.
  • I got into this business 22 years ago because of the opportunity to travel and promote products.     It got me outside of an office.   To this day I enjoy going out to our events, rolling up my sleeves and getting dirty with our crews.    I still have a passion for this business.
  • I think the smartest thing anyone said about marketing was from Lee Iacocca.   “You can have brilliant ideas, but if you cannot get them across, your ideas will not get you anywhere.”  At Marketing Werks, we help get ideas across.
  • The road taught me what hard work is really about.
  • I grew up in St. Louis, MO.  That town taught me how to truly love the sport of baseball.
  • Whenever I talk about the love of my country, that’s my father coming through.
  • I will never ask a client to expect anything less than 100% effort from this agency.
  • I will always ask for the truth.
  • Being involved in competitive sports all my life has actually helped me prepare for this industry — because it is our job to try to win for our clients everyday.     We suit up, we show up and we give it everything we have.  At the end of the day, we strive to compete hard for our clients.
  • When I’m not doing this I love spending time with my family and I love playing golf.
  • The way I like to work is to get up, move around and see people.   I can only sit for so long and I feed off of the interaction with staff.
  • Snakes terrify me.   Go figure.
  • What I bring to each assignment is a passion for getting the job done right.
  • I believe this business is all about identifying a clear strategy and then executing your tail off to reach goals.   It is all in the details.
  • I’m good at this because I can see around corners.   Not a super hero trait - just enough years in the business.
